Computed tomography is ideal in nasal work ups, investigating intrathoracic disease, cancer staging, identifying portosystemic shunts and ectopic ureters, to name but a few. I know that there is a lot of local interest in the availability of CT and those of you doing orthopaedics have been especially keen.
MRI is better suited to soft tissue imaging and not just the brain and spinal cord. Of course, seizure workups, spinal cases, cases with ill defined and localising CNS signs are the obvious indications, but if you have a case that you think might benefit from advanced imaging, but are not sure about the most appropriate imaging modality then just give us a call. In addition, CPD can be arranged if there is local interest in these exciting imaging modalities.
All of the images will be reviewed by one of a team of highly experienced veterinary imagers, ensuring rapid turnaround on the images generated. We will also ensure that the service offered is not only convenient for practices but also competitively priced.
